Walk-a-thon for the Fourth Grade Fieldtrip Fund

Hiawatha Elementary walks, now,
For the fourth grade fieldtrip fund.  Take a bow!
Every grade gets pledges.  They work and vow
To help one another.  Soon it's their turn and how!!

In May every grade at Hiawatha Elementary does the walk-a-thon to raise money for the fourth grade to go on a field trip to Seattle.   This pays for the buses, gas and admission for every fourth grader to go to the Pacific Science Center and the zoo.   It's an all day trip, with the classes leaving at 6:30 am and returning 8:30 p.m.    Emma (1st grade)  & Jacob (4th grade) both did the walk.
I was honored to contribute to a great cause.

Many schools do walk-a-thons in lieu of selling cookies, candy, magazines, wrapping paper or what not.  I would much rather donate directly to the cause than to something I don't really want.   Congratulations to Hiawatha Elementary and all other schools and contributors that do the same.
